1…
in God; The Father, Son
and Holy Spirit; Creator of everything and giver of all life.
2… In Jesus Christ our Lord
and Savior; and in his death and resurrection. With Him as our
guide and example we have a relationship with God.
3… In the personal return of
Jesus Christ. When, where and how are not the issue. All that matters is we understand He will return.
4… In the power and might of
the Holy Spirit, as our guide in faith, life and activities and in the
joy the Holy Spirit has to offer. Being
a follower of Christ is fun.
5…
The Scriptures are alive and well today.
They teach us everything we need to know to live in relationship
with God, with others, and with self.
Stephen King did not write the Scriptures, so we need not
frighten people with what the Scriptures contains.
6… We are saved through our
faith in Jesus Christ, and that faith produces a desire to serve God and
others, but salvation is through faith, and faith alone.
No matter how hard we try, we can do nothing to save
ourselves.
7… For people to truly
understand who they are, and why they are here, they must live in a
relationship with God and understand their true nature.
People are not “naturally good.”
8… The Community of Faith is
the Body of Christ on earth. Its
mission is to bring to the world the message that Jesus Christ is Lord
and Savior, and that God loves them.
The form it takes is relevant to the community it serves,
not human traditions or denominational authority.
9… All who accepted Jesus
Christ as Lord and Savior should live so people will want what they
have, not run from who they are. We
need to be whole people in our relationship with God, and with others.
A spirit without a body is a ghost, and a body without a
spirit is a corpse - and both are useless.
10…
We need to accept people where they are, not where we
expect them to be - as Christ did for us. We need
to show the Love of God to all people and seek to welcome them into our
homes, and into the Community of Faith. We need to be a “Welcoming and Transforming” people, we
welcome them in and allow God to transform them into what He wants.
We need to be a hospital for the sick, not a museum for the
saints.
11…
We agree that not all are called to be Evangelist, but we
believe that all are called to share their faith.
Our relationship with Jesus is personal, not private and we
must share with others because no one is called to sit on their duffs
doing nothing.
12…
Worship is a joyful celebration of our relationship with a loving and
caring God. It is not a
time to feel depressed, abused or neglected.
Worship needs to be designed so that we give our best to God, and
it reflects the heart of God’s people.
Excellence Honors God, and Motivates People.
13… Social Issues are
– social issues.
Individuals have the right to accept, or reject, any social issue
they desire. We strongly recommend everyone use Scripture to
determine their personal understanding of a social issue, but for them
to always remember - it is their personal understanding of that
social issue, and others can disagree. A
social issue is a social issue not a Doctrinal Stance.
Nothing in these beliefs should be taken in such a manner as to be exclusive to people seeking to know the true and lasting God. We are committed in unity to the things that matter, and we allow for people to express differences in all other areas of faith.

"There is nothing like the written word
of God for showing you the way to salvation through faith in Christ
Jesus. Every part of Scripture is God-breathed and useful one way
or another - showing us truth, exposing our rebellion, correcting our
mistakes, training us to live God's way. Through the Word we
are put together and shaped up for the tasks God has for us."
(The Message, Page 452}
"Theologians like to use $100 words to say the simplest of things, I don’t. I believe in keeping things simple, I believe in telling it the way it is, with words everyone can understand. I strive to be a person given to a helping others understand their relationship with a loving and caring God. I am not legalistic and I do not demands strict adherence to meaningless human rules that have no Scriptural support." Pastor John
