"precipitation"
is the monthly newsletter of "the:water community of
faith." we call it "P2" for two very important
reasons, both dealing with the definition of the word
"precipitate"; first definition - to cause vapors to condense
and fall to the earth in the form of water, snow or hail; second
definition - a product, result, or outcome of some process or
action. Christ can change your life, a radical change - a core
shaking change - if you let him.

The
search committee of the "Your Community Church" was
formed, and all the resumes were in - all three. Copies were
made and handed out to all members for them to examine and a date
was determined for them all to gather and discuss the candidates
for the position of Senior Pastor of the church. The
following are the Resumes - Names have been removed.
Person One:
Education Level: College
Family Life: Never Married
Experience: Has held over 20
different positions with 20 different churches over the period
of less then 7 years. Every time the church seems to grow
this person moves on and starts another church - no roots in
ministry. Was fired from several positions, and is a known
dreamer. Does not see the traditional leadership of the
church as important, and questions authority on a regular
basis. Has no, or little, respect or concern for the
members of the congregation who contribute to keep the ministry
alive and growing. While this candidate has written
several popular works, there is current concern over his
authorship of these works.
Person Two:
Education: College and Post Grad
Work
Family Life: Not Married
Experience: Has served on two
positions over his long ministry. First, the person was the
"right hand man" of a high placed Religious
Leader. After serving in that position for several years
moved on to serve as the Administrative Director of a small
growing ministry. While this persons experience is limited
he is know for being a good administrator and may have a good
speaking posture.
Who would you pick? Person One or Person Two? Most,
if not all, would select Person Two. If that's you, you
selected Judas and rejected Paul - go with the heart, God can
changes lives; stop looking at earthly measurements of success.
