the lips of judas

by: Noel Utter

Rating: Not yet rated

from deep in the middle
the strange opening existed
we attempted to migrate
from the fog of winter
and drink the pure milk
of an unfettered mind
as a true minister of God
gives joy as their benediction
and sanction our marriage union
forever binding in heaven
the minute we spoke
and could not answer
this question of our youth?
we began to be focused
on this realization
into the mode of the moment
this mortar of wet mosquito mouth
was the music that muzzled my tongue
with intriguing mystery
am i so naive to not see
your contempt?
to vainly negotiate my
honest emotions?
neither will the night
bring me into it’s darkness
willingly
still i will fade into
this noble quest
unknown to the noise
as my notes revert into novels
that occurs in my subconscious
trying to work out my many problems
but there is no one here
to support or change octaves
as i feel it odd to speak
what is really in my heart
but i must, or i would become
like a stone gathering moss
i need the oil of communication
like an olive branch the dove
brings into the vessel
knowing there is land ahead
and at some point we will find rest
to the one opaque, dense, delusion
that peels back our blank raw
numbness
that concludes with a kiss
from the lips of judas
